We love our friends at the Cathedral Arts Project, so when they asked for our help with a photo shoot at LaVilla School of the Arts, we were more than happy to oblige.
Bright and early Wednesday morning, Jorge and Kedgar packed up their camera equipment and headed out to LaVilla to meet their subjects—junior high students with a passion for the visual or performing arts.
The Cathedral Arts Project provides after-school art education classes for students in underserved neighborhoods. The children that Jorge and Kedgar met that morning were given the opportunity to further their arts education at LaVilla because of the foundation they received through classes taught by the Cathedral Arts Project.
As always, it was a heartwarming experience to see the excitement of the children involved in the program, and it’s great to know that they’ve taken that next step to achieving their dreams.
